Good Thinking: Daily Positive Affirmations & Growth Mindset
Episode 411: Midweek Reset: Exploring The Past And The Journey Ahead

Host Jason Connell welcomes listeners to a "Midweek Reset” episode of Good Thinking, encouraging a midweek pause and introducing the week’s theme of facing fears as a way to break through personal challenges and build a more positive mindset. As April winds down, he asks listeners to download and revisit the show’s archive—now over 400 episodes—highlighting how titled episodes make it easier to find affirmations that resonate. He references last week’s brief history of “good thinking” as an origin story that shared more than affirmations and hints that special episodes and new ideas are in development based on feedback. Connell also asks listeners to subscribe and leave five-star ratings, especially on Apple Podcasts, noting that reviews affect visibility, with Spotify also offering reviews.

Just curious. Welcome to Just Curious Media. This is Good Thinking, and I'm Jason Connell. So I'm back with another midweek reset. A wonderful chance for a pause, a reset. We're in the middle of the week, and I'm super excited about this theme that we're tackling this week, which is facing one's fears. I think just talking about it helps me hit my own fears head on, which is great. You know, it's a chance to just break through some of these things. And also, we're winding down this month of April. And a show tends to look at statistics on a monthly basis. So I'm encouraging everybody to download the show now because we'd love to end the month on a high note. And there's so much in the archives, having crossed over 400 episodes recently. And some fans have reached out and just said sometimes they go back and listen to them, and that's wonderful. I mean, we're making new episodes all the time. But I encourage everyone to do that, to go backwards. And you can even look at the names. That's why I put the names on the title themselves, because you could then identify, oh, yeah, as opposed to affirmation seven, affirmation eight, you can actually see the names, see which ones really resonate with you at that point in time, and kind of lean into it and see if it helps you get into more of a positive mindset. And also, I hope everyone enjoyed the brief history of good thinking last week. I love origin stories. And so that was the first time I kind of stepped outside the box and shared anything beyond an affirmation on the show. So I'm happy I did that episode. It lets people behind the curtain, what was going on, where'd this idea come from? And there's a reason why we're crossing over 400 on our way to 500 episodes, because I do believe it is important. And it's helping myself and others out there who want some more positive vibes in their life, some more good thinking. And not that I'm ready to divulge anything new, but there is some more exciting things coming. Some more special episodes, some new things we're working on here based on some ideas I have and feedback I've gotten. So stay tuned. And in the meantime, please continue to enjoy the show. Please subscribe to the show. And we really need more of those five-star ratings on Apple Podcasts. Some shows have thousands. We don't have that many yet, and that's okay. But I'd love to get up there because it does make a difference how Apple then positions you in the marketplace. And if you're not on Apple, that's fine. I think Spotify has some reviews as well. So any way to help the show, I thank you. So please continue to listen and enjoy the show, and we'll see you next time.
