Just curious. Welcome to Just Curious Media. This is Good Thinking, and I'm Jason Connell. So I'm back for another weekly reflection episode. And it was a great week. I really enjoyed the affirmation. We were dealing with gratitude, which is a wonderful theme and one that we will absolutely revisit in the future. And I know I mentioned this on the midweek reset, but March was just very triumphant for good thinking. We blew away our previous high water mark for downloads, and uh it almost tripled it. So it was just an amazing month, and we want to see that momentum continue into April and beyond. So I'm here now to share our new theme, which will be on the next six positive affirmation episodes, Monday through Saturday. And the theme is focus, which is huge in life. I mean, if you're not focused, you're not getting anything done that you want to get done. But I'm going to give you five takeaways about the benefits of focus. So let's jump in. Number one, focus directs energy toward what matters most. Concentrated attention reduces distraction and assures effort is applied with purpose. Exactly. If you can put your energy toward what you really want to have done, what you really are focused on, and what matters most to you, you will see results. Everyone's experienced this. I'm not sharing something you don't know. It's just a friendly reminder. Number two, focus creates steady progress. Consistent attention on one task at a time builds momentum and leads to meaningful results. Yes, I'm really big into momentum. There's a bit of a snowball effect to having momentum in your favor. You pick up speed, you gain confidence, you start to see results paying off. Knock out little tasks first, you'll feel better, and then you can tackle the big one. If you're stuck on a big one, you might get distracted by the fact that, oh, I still have all these other things to do. So definitely try that when faced with multiple things at once. Number three, focus improves clarity and decision making. A focused mind processes information more effectively, making choices feel clearer and more confident. Yes, and now we're getting into clarity, which is also big, but it is so true. If your focus is clear, like crystal clear, your mind processes information more effectively, and you're not distracted where your mind's overloaded with too many other factors. So be laser focused in your approach, which will only help you gain the confidence that you need to fulfill the task at hand. Number four, focus makes better use of time. Working with intention reduces wasted effort and allows more to be accomplished with less stress. And don't we all want that in life? Less stress? And I love that better use of time. The more focused you are, the more intentional you are. You're not wasting your energy or your efforts. You know, we've all had that big thing on our mind when we let it consume our thoughts, but it's also consuming your energy. And then you don't have the same energy when you go to take on that task, and you'll notice it. You'll feel drained, dejected. So the more focused you are, you'll be able to tackle that task in less time and have more energy. And number five, focus strengthens a sense of control and fulfillment. Giving full attention to what matters creates a deeper connection to the process and a greater sense of satisfaction. And that's wonderful because we all want to feel satisfied after we finish whatever we're working on. You want to feel that momentum. Maybe it's not to do another task, maybe it's just finally getting this thing done and you can share in that victory. So having that focus gives you that sense of control and that fulfillment of what you've earned. So that's it. Five takeaways setting us up for the theme of focus in the next positive affirmations. And that's very exciting. So again, thank you all for listening, for subscribing. If you get a chance, click that five-star rating on Apple Podcasts if that's the app that you listen to us on. You don't have to. There's lots of choices. But that helps us so much. Share it with a friend, but make good thinking part of your daily regimen. Now that we're here every single day, join us. It's short and sweet, and it can only bring more positivity into your day. So thank you again, and we'll see you next time.
