Just curious. Welcome to Just Curious Media. This is Good Thinking, and I'm Jason Connell. So I'm back with another midweek reset. And this is a wonderful chance to take a moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect. I mean, this is the middle of the week, and hump day as they call it, Wednesday, and you can start to see the end of the week, but rather than rushing there, maybe just reflect on what you've already accomplished, how you feel about yourself, what you have yet to accomplish, and leading into the weekend and such. I mean, our lives are just these routines. So it helps to look for the joy, the wins, and the hurdles you must clear to do so. And so I like this midweek reset just for me as a person, and to bring this component to the show, I think is wonderful. Now, the theme for this week's affirmations has been gratitude. And although everyone knows what that word means, I wanted to share this definition I just looked up because I really think it frames it beautifully. So here goes. Gratitude is the emotional, cognitive, and social practice of acknowledging goodness in life and recognizing that its sources are often outside oneself. It involves feeling and expressing appreciation for benefits, kindness, or positive outcomes. It is a proactive, positive, and affirming mindset. Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself, and I didn't, but I liked how they framed that. It was really beautiful, and gratitude is just so big, and it's probably a theme we may stick with in the next week. We'll find out later on that. But it's such a powerful tool, gratitude. Several years ago, I read one of Oprah Winfrey's books, What I Know For Sure, and it covered gratitude. I think like in a chapter, and that was the first time I really thought about gratitude as something that we can focus on and feel good from. So that was very powerful. And that was like over a decade ago. So again, I really hope that these affirmations, and we have several left all the way through Saturday, are helping everyone. And I know I am very grateful for the growth of good thinking. I mean, this month has already broken every single record we've ever had, and it's still going. And that means the world to me. That means like this microphone is working. And so it just makes me want to do more. And so I'm grateful for each and every one of you who are listening, subscribing, rating, telling others, and just feeling better, honestly. I mean, that is the goal. So be sure to allow yourself to reset today and find appreciation for something in your life that you're absolutely, positively grateful for.
